the end of '10, part II: October
My brother in law got married on October 10th and I was asked to photograph. I'll let the pics speak for themselves. I just love fall weddings in the south. The out-of-town family got to come down for New York and stay a few days with us and it was so good to see them all and get caught up. Plus it brought a much-needed smile to my face after such a tough September.

goodbye, fall!
the rain these past couple of days has taken with it the last of the beautiful fall leaves that were left just barely clinging to the arms of the trees. here's a few pics from my sunday drive...what a perfect autumn day in the south.

psalm 121
"I will lift up mine eyes unto these hills..." ~Psalms 121
a snapshot of saturday's sunset over the mountains--the colors were like cotton candy and the mountains were indigo blue.

six mile sunrise
one of the best things about living out here in the "country" are the beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. this time of year, they are especially beautiful. i got up and looked out the window and saw the fog coming up off the lake and the colors starting to peak up over the blue mountains. it was so pretty. i have to remind myself to slow down every now and then and take a minute to soak things like this in.
just thought i'd share!
