alas, i bought a farmhouse sink. a realllly nice one. and then we got the down low from a contractor. basically it would make the storage space below non-existent and wouldn't shorten the cabinet doors below to near midge-sized, so we have decided to pass. when we decide to custom build a home in the future, we'll incorporate one into that kitchen, but I'm not willing to just let this take up precious garage space until then.

I had a similar experience, although I hadn't actually bought the farm sink yet, I just really, really wanted to. As a compromise, we bought a big single-bowl sink (white) from Lowes. From the top, it has the look of a farm sink. Plus, it's big enough for giant pans to soak. I love it! (I've got pics somewhere on my blog, I'm sure.)
ps- I'm dying over that coffee cup cake! Genius.

somehow..i stumbled upon your page...looking for an apron farmhouse sink for my fixer upper...and realized that you might possibly be my stolen twin at birth :)...funny how that happens. can't wait to spend time looking thru your site..
